Happy Birthday, Sweet Boy!!!

We celebrated Wint's birthday quietly at home as a family.

He didn't love the cake, but he had just eaten a full lunch, 

and I guess his tummy was full.

Also, he was a little sick on his birthday.

He liked the candles and singing, I think.

His little, sweet smiles are fun enough to watch in the video.

Parks freaks out at the end when the others blow the candles out!!!

While Gray had the "camera" out, he took pictures of everyone else at the table!

Wint did not want to enjoy the tradition of our birthday hat!

He had a few bites of cake, but not much.

He does love holding a fork and looks like he does tricks with it.

Wint just didn't feel good on his birthday, and preferred to just go back to bed.

Later on the weekend, we had cupcakes for dessert with our friends and sang to him again.

Wint's Namesakes

Wint, "Wintfred David," is named after two of Gray's good friends. 

We met Wint and his family when we were pursuing coming to India, 

and we've been good friends every since.

Wint was in Delhi just a couple of days after Wint was born,

and it was fun to introduce them to each other.  

Early in my pregnancy Gray told Wint if we had a boy he was going to name him Wintfred David.  Wint and Gray are always joking with each other, and Wint didn't believe him, even after a couple of more times...even when Gray talked to him after Wint was born and told him the name.  It wasn't until his wife, Vicki, was with us and told him for sure! 

It was fun to see them together, and he didn't want to put Wint down.

Dave is married to one of my really good friends from college.  When Gray and I were dating and these guys met, they were friends almost immediately and have now been good friends for more than 10 years.

We were SO pumped when we found out Dave was coming to India.  He was in Asia (which is big), but worked out a long trip to make to India...and came all the way to our house, even!  And, it was the HOT when he came!  We ALL were overjoyed to spend a couple of days with him!

We took these pictures the middle of February just after returning to our house in Indore.  One of my neighbors came to visit, see Wint and bring a gift.  She came right when we were taking these pictures. Wint had no clothes on...in the middle of February, which they still think is cold but it's nice weather in our city.  And, of all the ladies, this was the one whom gave me the most advice and criticism on all my parenting techniques.  ;)  Fun times!
