Rajpur, Shopping and Henna

One morning we headed up to Rajpur to go a fun park!

Gigi's first vikram ride! Gray, his dad and Jackson thought they couldn't fit. But, 2-3 more people joined us and we were smashed! Gray's dad said India's motto is that there is always room for one more!!!

Because we were going to the end of the line, it cleared up and we ended up with the vikram to ourselves.

Gigi was nervous Sam might fall out

So, she got to ride and snuggle with 2 of her grands!

On our way to the park

She liked it said Gajebo

It's so pretty there!!!

This particular day was March 10--their anniversary! Fun!!!

Hanging out while the big 3 play.

We had some snacks for lunch then Gigi and I went shopping in Rajpur while the rest played some more at the park.
A view from my favorite shop in DD/Rajpur.
Prem waiting while we made some big purchases!

Then I took her to see a little shop where they sew things and cook and bake. It's a ministry that a lady started to provide jobs for women and reach out to them. I went there a few times while living in DD to work on some Hindi, get in some listening and they made our stockings and Christmas pillowcases!

On the way home, we picked up everyone else and then stopped at some antique places just for fun!

Another day, Gigi, Sarala and I went out for some girls fun!!!
Henna is definitely girls' fun!!!

We took Gigi shopping for some clothes!
I made her at least try on one full suit for a picture.
She did end up buying the fun pants too--she's so fun like that!!!

And, the first day, I took her to buy some kurtas to wear around during the trip. Remember she only brought a few clothes so they could bring stuff for us--so sweet! And, she was excited for kurtas. After getting kurtas, we headed over to a fun bangle shop to match them up!!!

Sun fun times!

Thailand Market

And, I still have move pics from Thailand too!

In Chiang Mai, there is a special market held on Sundays. It's so fun! But, actually while we were there there was a special market much like the Sunday market happening everyday because of Christmas and New Years. There were lots of local vendors out--for shopping and food. We loved the shopping and food options, so we ate down there a few different times.

Since we don't have a "state fair" to log our fun food like Andy and Lauren, here's our food log from the market--check it out!

The Bazaar

The bazaar is a HUGE market where you can buy anything!!! Anything...really! I always wish I would take more pictures at the bazaar....and I will. It can be kind of an intense place because it's crowded, full of beggars and vendors wanting you to buy their items and give them money. There are so many things to encounter at the Bazaar! So, I'm usually not thinking about taking pictures.

Here are a couple of videos of some of the vegtable walas. I love how they call out. They are yelling out what they have and their prices. It sounds kind of like and auction to me.

The second video is when they caught me videoing them and got a little silly and embarrassed.
It was also taken so long ago when it was still cold and we still had red carrots. Can't wait for them to come back!

And, here are some ladies carrying their goods home. I haven't mastered this art yet.
You wouldn't believe what all folks can carry on their heads around here...and without even holding on.
