We recently took a visa trip to Nepal and were there a couple of days. This trip was much nicer than our few hours we spent in Nepal last time. The highlight was that we stayed with this wonderful family, and our kids had a wonderful time together!
They are such stair steps and were so fun together!
It was a full house with 8 kids all packed in,
but they did well and once you have 3 or 4 kids, you might as well just keep adding them in, right???!!!
One day we all rode to a pretty spot for a picnic near their helper's village. There were 17 of us in one vehicle--South Asian style. How, you ask? Packed in the back of the truck. The kids loved that too!!!
The weather felt great in Nepal and there were lots of pretty views, even though we didn't get to see the pretty snow caps you can usually see in October. We missed them only by a week or two.
I was fascinated with all the corn hanging out to dry.
The babies and the mamas rode up front.
Some kind of fun game going on--we saw a few of these on the sides of the road.
So pretty...I can only imagine seeing Everest--another day...another day!!!

A cool tree with vine-hanging fruit. We still haven't figured out what it is, but they do eat it in Nepal.

A huge earthworm, and we had just finished studying them in school the previous week! Fun!
We had a wonderful time. We met a few other friends there, went to the big tourist market and got a lot of gifts for family and friends and ate LOTS of yummy food. The capital has some wonderful restaurants! We were so surprised at what we found at the grocery store too! We brought home loads of imported foods that were cheaper in Nepal and even found some things we can't get in India. A few things were some cinnamon sugar graham crackers, kraft mac n cheese, granola bars, Dr. Pepper, and my all time favorite--Reese's Cups!!!
At the airport, we saw this big pack and even though I had loaded up at the grocery store and our bags were full, I still got this pack and even shared it with Gray and the kids. That's true love, right there! ;)
