Nearing the end of our restful time in the US, we got to go to CO to visit Andy and Lauren and Ben.
We're a big proponent of acquiring airline miles. Our family of 7 were able to get airline tickets and a rental van for the week with airline miles! What a blessing!
We flew out of Atlanta, so on our way to the airport,
we timed it right so we could stop and eat at the Chick-fil-a dwarf house for lunch.
The kids' highlight of the meal is that little red door.
It makes the food so much more tastier. ;)
We had some bad delays, and spent much more time than we wanted in the airports.
I took most of our pictures in Breckenridge and on a couple of outings.
Lauren has such a great post, with way better pictures and variety of our time there.
She has pics like from the grocery store, around the house, their awesome neighborhood park.
I love the memories we have in CO from 4 years ago before we moved to India,
and we made lots more again.
We went to Breckenridge for the weekend and stayed in a friend's condo.
Breckenridge was beautiful. The weather was so nice there!

We went up on one of the ski resorts and walked and played around.
Only pics of all of us
We didn't do any of the activities there, but the snow was pretty fun--
especially for kids that never see snow!

Wint spent a lot of time in the backpack.
A little snowman
The ride back down
Another day, we took a little hike through the woods.
There are times when I'd rather carry the weight on my back than push along and beg "come on" over and over. Thankful A&L had an extra carrier and times like these I'm thankful Parks is such a little guy! Though Wint is smaller, he just pulls my hair and earrings all the time in the backpack on me.
It was so beautiful and fun....the perfect time to be there!
We stopped to snap a pic of the beautiful views along our drive back.
It's way prettier when it's all around you and not a flat picture.
It was breathtaking!!!
Some of the best times were in the yard and at their house though!
Uncle Andy putting them to work!
One day, Lauren took us to the most amazing playgound!
I've been to playgrounds all over, and this is the best playground I've ever been to!
One of my all time favorite pictures of Wint
Wint learning to walk...He started in CO!
Aunt Lollie takes all bragging rights. ;)
Jackson climbing the rock wall. I love his celebration at the top!

More of Wint walking
There is even a splash park too--all in the same place.
I thought it was way too cold for the water,
but kids don't care about the temps when they're playing!
It was so much fun.
Giving hi 5s while swinging.
B loves all things construction, and I love it.
He is mesmerized by diggers and trucks and cranes all the time.
My boys....just being boys...
One day, both Andy and Lauren had to work, so we ventured out.
There are so many great things to do in CO,
but we went right back to Garden of the Gods,
where we had gone our last trip.
Except, we took long enough this time to walk and enjoy, and let the kids explore.
When living overseas, in a place where traffic and roads (no matter how far out of the city you get) are not nice and actually induce much stress into you life, a road trip, driving by such peaceful, beautiful terrain and scenery is balm to your soul!!!
Check out Sam's hat! He often makes us laugh.
We had a great time, and hope to make more memories out West with you whether it's your home or not! ;)
