This time last year, we were saying our final good-byes to our families in SC and NC and getting ready to come back to India...I'm finally coming around to posting on the blog again. It used to be a habit and hobby I enjoyed. I'm going give it one more try to see if I get back into it!
We went to a banquet earlier in the week and this is the only picture I have on my computer from that night.
The kids were not cooperating to take a picture with just Grandmommy.
But, at least she has a "real life" picture! ;)
The kids enjoyed my mom's backyard and front porch every time we were there....
and also playing inside with some of my old toys and puzzles.
Their favorite was picking blackberries....we were barely in the US for blackberry season.
We picked and picked and picked them the last week in SC near our house, and at my mom's house.
The whole "woodline" you see in the above picture was covered in blackberries like below from left to right!
We also got to spend Mother's Day evening and Father's Day with my Dad and stepmom.
One of the highlights at Papa and Nanny's house was also outside...riding 4wheelers!
They also loved barking at and playing with their dog!
We also spent a lot of our SC time with our cousins!
We love, love, love hanging with them!
These two are like two peas in a pod! Ella is one month older than Sarala.
They are best buds!
We had lots of fun in their pool the last couple of weeks when it was finally warm enough to swim!!!
Ella taught Sarala to dive!
Jackson chillaxing in the pool with Tommy.
They also slung each other in the pool a lot!
Parks swam all around with his cousins.
Sarala slept in this little nook beside my bed.
One night I must've feel asleep when I was praying for her and talking with her one night.
We had so much fun with them and in their beautiful yard and home!!!
Sarala also got to see the girls perform in their dance recital.
And, here are a few other pictures I found when I finally got around to this post!
Then, we got one big snap our last day with them.
I think this is the only picture we have taken with our two families together--ever.
And, Pac and I realized we had no pictures just the two of us the whole time we were in the US!
While we were sharing pictures one day, Pac showed me these pictures we had taken our last days together in December 2009 before we left for India--crazy how our families have grown and changed!!!
And some very sad pictures of the crying after saying good-bye.
We took pictures on the couch again our last day!
And, this time, here was Sarala with the ugly cry in the car.
Saying good-bye never gets easier....
in some ways, I think it gets harder because we know how long the time is and far the distance is away.
